About Us

Formed by Williaam Cox in 1936

In 1950 the company manufactured its first acrylic rooflight.

1960 Coxdome trade name was adopted for the rooflight range.

Mark 5 rooflight launched in 1967

1968 the company was purchased by Yule Catto plc. as part of the building division.

1983 launch of the Baselock rooflight system.

1990 the relocation to Tring

1997 company changed to Cox Building Products

2000 Cox Building Products purchased by CRH plc
